I lived in a house built in 2008 (I've since moved). The CU was located in the downstairs toilet and was plastic. The stairs started to the right of the toilet but spiraled round so that the last 4-5 steps were above the downstairs toilet, the stairs were made of wood. This was the only staircase and therefore the only means of exit. Would this mean that the CU would not meet current regs? Strictly speaking, I would say that a CU change would be required, but interested on what an electricians perspective on this would be? Thanks for sharing. Atb Shaun

Kind of hard to see how the cabinet is made I think I would've taken the unit out and mounted the strip on the side so it's reflecting and not direct into the diffuser. Then you would get at least some of the originals reflections effect. I'm only at 5:00 so I'm curious what they end up with.
I have a social housing provider near me having a block of flats with 3 pin bayonet pendant sets. Replacement lamps only from them at £14.00 a pop.

I did this exact conversation about a year ago with the same cabinet, what are the chances.
I recorded this one because Nige and I did a lovely T2 cabinet conversion about 18-months ago and I always regretted not capturing it on camera. There are probably many examples of appliances being binned for something new where a bit of lateral thinking can give it an extended lifespan.

Tomtom has poor battery management - this it charge the battery every time ignition is on. This is bad and will destroy a LiOn battery. It should wait charging until getting to around 15-20% the capacity and charge to 80% and stop charging.
I hope that taser was fitted with an AFDD and 18th certified 🤔

Probably. Especially in a TNC-S arrangement as neutral and earth are connected together at the head anyway. But, why would you connect it to neutral?

HOWDENS KITCHEN wankers use odd size under cabinet lamps - I went to howdens & they would not sell me a bulb because "I didnt have an account" - after much verbal abuse I left & replaced the customers lights with LED's I now tell EVERYONE doing a re-furb - not to ude HOWDENS - there stupid policy of "NO account" has cost them 100 times the price of the bulb - I hope they go bust !! Back c1989 I turned short-sighted and had to start wearing NHS glasses in my final year of school which, not that it was really needed, fired the final "loser" torpedo into my (already spectacularly) low chances of ever getting off with either class-whore Kiola "four fingers" Powers, or class tit-shelf Donna McMahon. In 2000, I paid £500 for laser surgery to get shot of that nuisance and 20-20 vision did me well... until (ironically) 2020 when old age made me suddenly long-sighted. I *hate* being long-sighted. I'd prefer it the other way around - I need to see up-close, whereas wearing glasses for driving or such wouldn't be so much of an issue.
@@dsesuk You're lucky, I've got a hole right in the middle of the retina in my left eye, which is a bit like looking through a net curtain. On the plus side, the other eye has compensated and is now better than 20/20 according to the consultant at the hospital eye clinic.

Those fucking class 2 connections can do one. Customer picks all these lovely lights that say class 2 on the box you open it and see that. I cut the shit out and fly lead with a lugged crimp on to the back plate. Anyone can buy these lights and DIY folk will just connect it up with single insulation flapping around. Just asking for trouble. Wankers
